Born in Durban, South Africa Reese Bowes moved to the US in 1984. Bowes received his MFA in Applied Craft and Design from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2015. Since 2007 he has been employed by Intel in all number of roles: as a hardware technician, software engineer, interface designer, user experience researcher, and currently at Intel Labs as an industrial designer. Currently Bowes holds a position as affiliate faculty at PNCA, teaches workshops focusing on the unification of virtual reality, computer assisted drafting, and observational drawing and sculpting, as well as leads symposia on technology and its role in design evolution.
Bowes' artistic practice ranges from electronic and analog music production, fine art illustration, on to digital interactive multimedia installations.
