I make studies in fragility, vitality and surprise. I am fascinated with small things that command a much larger space, calling us in for a closer look. I have always created on a very intimate scale. The best moments in the studio are filled with trust in the connection between outside complex forces in nature, what I envision in my mind, and what I see on my worktable.
