Statement

The central focus of my artistic practice is developing a visual language engaging the object as subject matter. Over the past few years, I have developed a working methodology bringing together diverse interests and research surrounding the object including the transformation of rural and urban landscapes, the utility of various artificial materials and their associated craft and processes , and the social and cultural presentation of objects . A Small Furnace is an installation that falls between the constraints differentiating art and commodity, and the distinctions between object and display.
