The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences also selected National Gallery of art, Museum of Modern Art, Stephen Ensminger, The National Palace Museum. David Bowie, Matt Groening, Arianna Huffington and Harvey Weinstein are on the selection committee.

Summer 2008, the Portland Art Museum presents the inaugural Contemporary Northwest Art Awards. Furthering the Museum’s 115-year commitment to celebrating, exhibiting, and collecting art of the region, this biennial awards exhibition honors emerging and nationally under-recognized professional artists living in the Northwest.

Mary Henry, James Lavadour, D.E. May, and Storm Tharp were also announced as finalists for The Portland Art Museum's Contemporary Northwest Art Awards.
