January 21st - 25th, 2009
PDX will feature the paintings of New York artist Nancy Lorenz. Lorenz’s paintings have been collected by Thomas Friedman, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Alain Ducasse, Peter Marino, and Donald Sulton among others. Made of beautiful materials, gold leaf, silver leaf, and mother of pearl, Lorenz’s work references the sea, the landscape, and imagery of the natural world. Lorenz is a recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. In addition PDX will also feature paintings by James Lavadour, sculptures by Storm Tharp, and new silver gelatin photographs by Japanese photographer, Masao Yamamoto who also exhibits in Paris, Berlin, Milan, London, and Tokyo. All are represented in the collection of the Portland Art Museum.
PDX has participated in more art fairs than any other Northwest gallery, across the country in an effort to broaden the audience for the artists we represent. We are always pleased to see friends from home.
