Statement

The chant Loves Me, Loves Me Not is a repeated verbal desire associated with the pluck and toss of a flower petal. A prayer flag is a symbol of loving energy that, when affected by a breeze, is believed to blow goodwill and compassion into all nearby areas. Merging the two thoughts, I used materials that would emulate prayer flags, the delicate movement of flowers, and the murmurings associated with augury of petal plucking.
