"TEA ROOM" an installation by Nancy Lorenz

The walls are covered with gold colored silk. A silver leafed table holds a wood and gold poured box. Lorenz will make gestural drawings of tea cups on paper, using tea for ink Thursday-Saturday. A very beautiful, 18 foot folding lacquer screen made of mother of pearl, silver leaf and pigment stretches across one wall, in front of which on the floor is placed a scholar's rock"sculpture. A large scale gold pour paintings hangs on the a joining walls. To the side in a separate alcove is a group of gold and blue pigment Buddhas on the walls and a "scholar's rock"sculpture is on a wood stand.

In the closet we have available works by Adam Sorensen,Kristen Miller,D.E.May,Cynthia Lahti,Arnold Kemp,Joe Macca,Megan Murphy,Elizabeth Knight and 2010 Whitney Biennial artists Storm Tharp and Jessica Jackson Hutchins.
