Susie J. Lee
Susie J. Lee received her BS in Molecular Biophysics/Biochemistry from Yale in 1994, MA from Columbia University in 1995 and MFA from the University of Washington in 2006.
Lee has been named an “Artist to Watch” by the national publication Artnews and received the Stranger Visual Art Genius Award. Her art has been exhibited nationally and internationally at Artefiere Bologna, Italy; Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, AR; the Blanton Museum of Art, Austin; the Denver Art Museum; Galleria Tiziana Di Caro, Salerno, Italy; and Gallery Hyundai, Seoul. In 2011 the Portland Art Museum selected her as a recipient of its Contemporary Northwest Art Award and the Tacoma Art Museum selected her for their 10th Northwest Biennial. In 2014 Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art selected Lee as one of 101 artist to exhibit in their major survey of contemporary American art titled The State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now.
Lee is represented by PDX CONTEMPORARY ART.
Joe Freeman received hi BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design and his MFA in Photomedia from the University of Washington. He has been nominated for PDN's 30 in NYC, the Henry Art Gallery Brink Award and New Fellows grant through the New Foundation, both in Seattle, and a finalist for the Hariban Award in Japan. His work work has been exhibited nationally and is collected internationally.
