Drawing

"Every drawing that appears to be about its subject - is equally defined by my frustration with bringing that idea to life. In many regards, these drawings depict what this feels like. (Self-portraiture is convenient in this way.) Over-arching and recurring themes may ring true but are simultaneously effective metaphors for both spiritual shortcomings and struggles with materials. Like me, every drawing has an inside and an outside."
