Marie Watt: Eiteljorg and Native Art Now!

Marie Watt's "Companion Species (Canopy)", recently exhibited here at the gallery in her eponymously titled solo show, has been acquired by the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis, IN. The piece is featured in "Native Art Now!", an exhibition of thirty-nine iconic works of contemporary Native America art from the museum's own permanent collection. In conjunction with the exhibition will be a convening of the Eiteljorg Fellows, the screening of a new documentary on contemporary Native American art and a release of a scholarly companion book for the exhibition. Subsequently the exhibition will be divided into three smaller traveling shows.
