We invite you to join us for a drink and a bit of engaging conversation with highly respected, Portland based sound artist and composer Ethan Rose.
It will be a wonderful time to learn about "Entwined" (currently on view in the gallery). Rose will give insights to his vision and inspirations in creating "Entwined" which has been recently written up in the Oregonian, Portlandart[dot]net and Willamette Week.
Ethan Rose's work has been exhibited and performed at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art's Time-Based Art Festival, the Museum of Contemporary Craft, the Cannes Film Festival, Experimental Sound Studio, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Milan Design Week, and the SXSW Music Festival. He has scored a number of films including Gus Van Sant's "Paranoid Park".
Rose received his BA in Music Composition from Lewis & Clark College, Portland, OR in 2000 and his MFA in Sound from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL in 2013.
