20 Years of Printmaking Residency on Oregon Coast | Chessman Gallery
Two decades ago, Sitka Center for Art & Ecology began a printmaking residency program to help artists learn and explore printmaking. The Jordan Schnitzer Printmaking Residency (JSPR) offered not only the extraordinary location and facilities of Sitka Center but also an expert etching printer to assist visiting artists with the process and techniques of printmaking.
To celebrate twenty years of the JSPR, ten artists including PDX's own Ellen George, Heather Watkins, and Marie Watt will be included in an exhibition featuring prints made during their residencies. The work will be on display at the Chessman Gallery in Lincoln City, Oregon.
