These new assemblage pieces, I view as a form of associative thinking. At times playful and other times socially charged. By juxtaposing dissimilar materials, I hope to create a thought provoking narrative. Most often it is a given object that drives the subject matter, rather than me purposely searching for material to address a given subject. In fact, the subject for each piece comes to me once I find an object or image that "tells a story." The titles simply act as another guidepost for the viewer.
My major influences are: John Cage, Marcel Duchamp and Joseph Cornell.
