CHORUS is a wall drawing with sound recordings that loop every 27 minutes and 54 seconds. The voices are presented as overlapping recitations of non-linear edited texts from a classical translation of Ovid's Heroides overlapping with similarly edited excerpts from a contemporary adaptation. There is a simultaneously looped sonic element that is played through exciter components that activate the wall as speakers.

With the invaluable assistance of musician and sound artist Robert Millis (who contributed sonic elements and tech support) and voice work by Mary Ewalk and Maggie Mann, an auditory atmosphere emerges. This 'Chorus' of incantatory murmurings, distilled from 2 sources (a classical translation of Ovid and a contemporary adaptation) reveal the Heroines; fifteen women, born in myth and memory. Their words and voices overlap. They are distinct but connected — mapped onto the wall via stereo wire and tied to us and each other through transmitted voice and sound
