PDX Contemporary Art in partnership with the Oregon College of Art and Craft welcomes you to Be a FAN and to Buy a FAN! Past OCAC Board member and advocate, Jane Beebe, is donating a showcase and fundraiser for the College through the critically acclaimed “PDX Window Project”. Past Artists-in-Residence, current faculty and artist staff are creating works of art on white paper fans to be installed in the window of PDX Contemporary Art during the month of November. Respected artist and 2004 Oregon College of Art and Craft Artist-in-Residence, Storm Tharp, is honorary chair of this event.
Participating artists include: Karl Burkheimer, Anna Fidler, Judilee Fitzhugh, David R. French, Pam Gibson, Annie Heisey, Judy Hill, Ariane Hopman, Matt Kidder, Sarah LaBarre, Bonnie Laing-Malcolmson, Horatio Law, Rob Lewis, Marci McDade, Whitney Nye, Thomas Orr, Eunice Parsons, MaryAnn Peters, Sandra Preston, Michelle Ross, Dana Roth, Brian Shannon, Manya Shapiro, Anne Siems, Cecilia Skuwit, Storm Tharp, Rory Sparks, Siri Schillios, Heidi Schwegler, Barb Tetenbaum, Jacob Tietze, Lena Welker.
All proceeds will support OCAC’s Capital and Endowment Campaign.
To meet growing enrollment and demand, the College is renovating existing studios and expanding its facility space. The Michigan based Kresge Foundation believes in the College and has challenged OCAC to finish the campaign by March 31, 2010.
