See Through Walls

Zuckerman Museum of Art
Kennesaw, GA
Opening March 2014

See Through Walls celebrates the opening of the Zuckerman Museum of Art and brings together 14 artists whose work responds to the spatial considerations and explores the function and inner workings of real and conceptual constructions.

Starting with the fundamental element that defines an architectural space, the wall, the exhibition looks at the physical and psychological dimensions of division, articulation, support, and structure. This close examination of what is both on and beneath the surface allows for unexpected association and moments of revelation.

In addition to the physical exhibition, an art history resource room will be built into the installation that will broaden the context of the exhibition, expanding the conversation beyond the physical walls to include historical materials, documentaries and media, international works, and records associated with site-specific installations.
