Born in Mandan, North Dakota in 1985 and raised in Moorhead, Minnesota, Jarrod McCann currently lives in NE Portland. Jarrod obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lewis & Clark College in 2007. After graduation, he quickly developed an interest in natural photography exploring the parks of the Pacific Northwest. Most recently, his pursuit for natural beauty lead him to the southern Nations of Africa, including: South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. His recent work attempts to establish a connection with the viewer that allows for the disintegration of their immediate surroundings, placing the viewer in the scene itself by providing greater longitude.
